HOAX: Uganda Police Force is not recruiting election polling constables

This Facebook post claiming that the Uganda Police Force is recruiting special elections polling constables is a HOAX.

The advertisement claims that the Force is accepting applications between 10 and 25 October 2025, to be submitted through district police commanders (DPCs) to regional and headquarters offices.

It also outlines purported recruitment requirements, including an application letter addressed to the inspector general of police (IGP), recommendation letters from local leaders, and a minimum education level of Primary Leaving Education (PLE).

The Uganda Police Force has dismissed the advertisement as fake and urged the public to disregard it, advising citizens to rely solely on the police’s official website and verified social media channels for authentic recruitment updates.

Furthermore, the advert’s format, language errors, and unofficial publication channels indicate it is a hoax, as no such recruitment notice has been issued through the Force’s official platforms.
