FALSE HEADLINE: This video doesn’t show Rebecca Kadaga declaring support for Bobi Wine

This YouTube video claiming that Rebecca Kadaga has declared support for Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, in the 2026 elections has a FALSE HEADLINE.

Kadaga is Uganda’s former parliament speaker and serves as the 1st deputy prime minister of Uganda and minister for East African Community Affairs.

The video’s headline, written in Luganda, reads: “Breaking News Rebecca Kadaga Akikoze Alonzeewo Bobi Wine 2026 Museveni Nkutadde,” which loosely translates to: “Breaking News: Rebecca Kadaga has done it, she has chosen Bobi Wine for 2026, Museveni abandoned.”

President Yoweri Museveni and Bobi Wine are among the presidential candidates for the 2026 polls.

However, a review of the video shows there is no mention or evidence of the claim that Kadaga has declared support for Bobi Wine.

Instead, the video features an NTV news broadcast covering Kadaga’s “homecoming event” in Jinja, east of the country. Additionally, Kadaga attended Museveni’s nomination as the National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) presidential candidate for the 2026 polls.
